A  message from Erin

I have always firmly believed that our homes are more than shelter – they are the canvas on which we tell our personal stories, a safe place from the turbulent world around us, and a crucial aspect of our daily lives. This has become more clear than ever over the past few years, as the meaning (and function) of “home” has grown and changed.

As a designer, I am most interested in creating environments that beautifully blend function and form – respecting my client’s aesthetic goals while incorporating their needs. It shouldn’t feel too precious to hold a celebration, or too stiff to feel comfortable relaxing with a good book just about anywhere. We live, work, love and lose in these structures we build, and they need to be many things to many people all at once. And while this profession often seems to deal in the inessential, I think it is important work. Having a home that creates a sense of peace, happiness and expression is an invaluable asset to a well lived life.
